Job summary

FM is a leading risk management and industrial property insurer with 50+ offices worldwide. As a Consultant Engineer, you will learn to engineer risk mitigation solutions under mentors, applying your engineering background to help clients protect properties from fires, explosions, earthquakes, floods, and more.

You will perform site assessments, deliver written reports, travel to client sites (company car provided) and work from a home office with remote collaboration; Columbus, OH location

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (various specialties)
• Zero to three years of industry experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on site risk assessments of the client's physical property
• Conduct engineering evaluations including fire protection, dust hazards, chemicals, and equipment
• Deliver written reports following each client site visit
• Travel to client facilities; company car provided; travel to FM Training Center and Cleveland office as needed
• Work from a home office and collaborate with others remotely
