Our client is a growing medical device manufacturing company seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Reliability Engineer to support the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of high-speed manufacturing equipment.
This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing professional with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, improving uptime, and implementing long-term reliability solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and improve high-speed automated manufacturing equipment
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures
- Improve equipment reliability, uptime, efficiency, and preventative maintenance programs
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, conveyors, tooling, and machine components
- Support equipment modifications, upgrades, installations, startups, and qualifications
- Partner with maintenance, operations, engineering, and quality teams
- Work with OEMs, contractors, and outside vendors on equipment projects
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, and improving industrial manufacturing equipment
- Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting experience with automated or high-speed equipment
- Experience with reliability, root cause analysis, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement
- Strong mechanical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, conveyors, tooling, and machine components
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, maintenance, operations, and quality
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, FDA-regulated, ISO-certified, or other controlled manufacturing environments preferred
- Basic electrical, controls, PLC, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or machine design experience is a plus
