Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Nuclear Quality Technician to perform inspection and audit activities on parts and assemblies using precision tools and testing equipment. You will interpret shop orders, drawings, and quality records to define inspection requirements and support multiple processing areas, including safety‑critical activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and familiarity with GD&T, non‑destructive examination methods, and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

  • Vision 20/22 with color perception and Jaeger test literacy.
  • Knowledge of measurement techniques and GD&T preferred.

Purpose:

Producing products in accordance with Fisher Quality Standards and to strive for continuous improvement in operating as a profitable, effective, safety-conscious business to satisfy customers.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Must display natural or corrected vision of 20/22 with both eyes and normal color perception. Must be capable of reading a minimum of Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches on a standard Jaeger test chart.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Understand and relate proper measurement techniques and sequences as well as working knowledge of reading and interpretation of Geometrically Dimensioned Drawings (GD&T).
  • Proficient in the use of material and dimensional testing equipment.
  • Experience performing non‑destructive examination methods.
  • Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.

Strong attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills.
