Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Manager for its Offsite Manufacturing division in Austin, TX. You will lead QC/QA, drive the Quality Assurance Plan, and coordinate across functions to meet annual objectives.

The role requires Lean, Six Sigma, and extensive quality leadership experience in manufacturing, with a proven track record of improving processes and safety outcomes across multi-site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required (a degree in manufacturing, engineering, computer science, math, statistics, or similar quantitative field is preferred).
• Advanced Degree preferred (a degree in manufacturing, engineering, computer science, math, statistics, or similar quantitative field is preferred).
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience of related experience in manufacturing and team management.
• Minimum eight (8) years of quality control and quality assurance experience required, with specific experience acting as a project quality control manager.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in technical writing preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with people at all levels across the organization.
• Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to lead diverse project teams required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook and Visio required.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management software tools such as Autodesk BIM360, Procore, CxAlloy
• Experience in Project Management, to include PMI certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC/QA efforts within the manufacturing facilities and coordinate QA initiatives to meet annual goals.
• Develop the annual Quality Assurance Plan and coordinate with stakeholders and SMEs.
• Partner with other Quality Program Managers to align with broader McKinstry Quality Programs.
• Set priorities for the program and regularly review progress.
• Conduct regular assessments of the Quality Management System with senior management.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for Quality Assurance Reviews and support Safety QA Reviews.
• Develop, monitor, and close all CAPAs for non-compliance with McKinstry standards.
• Review results and track CAPA progress and program status.
• Maintain quality/reliability standards and seek process improvements.
• Write and review policies, procedures, and supporting documentation.
