Job summary

NVR, Inc. in Thurmont, MD is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Representative to apply technical expertise and research to resolve product and quality issues across plant and field operations.

You will also perform analyses, provide recommendations, and implement actions aimed at measuring and improving quality. This role collaborates with Homebuilding teams to ensure adherence to NVR quality standards and supports audits, data reporting, and rollout of quality programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Construction Administration, Construction Quality Control, or directly related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Ability to develop relationships and engage with internal customers and communicate effectively.
• Results driven with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong spatial analysis skills and proficient with construction blueprints.
• Strong organizational, planning and time-management skills.
• Analytical problem-solving with initiative to drive results.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Willingness to work adjusted hours and travel to multiple plants/sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed understanding of plant products, processes, blueprints, quality standards, and NVR quality program.
• Develop and maintain reports to measure quality and service levels with action plans.
• Expand and improve the plant quality assurance program with systems and procedures.
• Maintain and upgrade quality standards across plant departments.
• Conduct field and internal audits; communicate findings and recommendations.
• Resolve questions from Homebuilding Operations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot product quality issues with Homebuilding, ASD, and Field Coordinators.
• Integrate monthly or quarterly quality topics into weekly audit activities.
• Ensure adherence to Plant Installed Window certification and provide training as needed.
• Monitor rollouts of audits, prototypes, new materials, and design changes with cross-functional teams.
• Support training of Manufacturing Quality Coordinators and plant Quality personnel.
• Provide training to new employees and new plant start-ups.
• Coordinate and manage special projects as directed.
