Job summary
Astemo, Ltd. is seeking a qualified engineer in Tarboro, North Carolina to support the development and refinement of manufacturing processes and quality systems for new model introductions.
You will prepare documentation and verify processes meet specifications, while coordinating with multiple departments to ensure readiness for mass production. The role requires strong technical knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, hands-on experience with SAP, FMEA, and control plans, and excellent
Qualifications
- 4 year college degree in a related field or 2 year degree + 2 years related work experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to assist with electro-mechanical decisions
- Well organized with attention to detail; able to manage multiple deadlines and projects
- Excellent communication skills to present technical information verbally and in writing
- Experience with SAP, Control Plans, FMEA, Process Operations Standards, etc.
- Ability to lead projects with support from multiple departments
- Analytical skills to understand the impact of product and process changes
- Proficiency with Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Minitab
Responsibilities
- Manufacturing Process Development — Support the creation and refinement of manufacturing process flows and quality systems during new model introduction
- Documentation Preparation — Develop and maintain required documentation for internal stakeholders and external customers
- Process Verification — Ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet all specifications and requirements
- Quality System Reporting — Communicate quality system status, risks, and mass-production readiness to leadership and customer representatives
