Job summary

Triton Metal Products in Hamilton, IN is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Management System and daily production activities. The role focuses on defect prevention, scrap reduction, and FPY improvement across fabrication processes including laser cutting, forming, machining, welding, and coating.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in manufacturing quality, strong GD&T knowledge, and experience with PPAP/APQP, MSA, and capability studies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a manufacturing quality role, preferably metal fabrication
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and customer-specific quality requirements
• Solid understanding of GD&T, drawings, and fabrication prints
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, MSA and capability studies
• Familiarity with welding, machining, laser cutting, press brake, powder coating processes
• Proficient in data analysis and quality software; SolidWorks Inspection preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve QMS compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and customer requirements
• Develop and control quality documents: work instructions, process flows, inspection plans and PFMEAs
• Support internal/external audits, corrective actions, and verification
• Conduct process audits and layered process audits across production areas
• Identify QMS gaps and drive cross-functional improvements
• Lead PPAP documentation and verification per customer requirements
• Participate in APQP, PFMEA updates, and pre-launch readiness
• Provide daily technical quality support to production and assist with inspection methods
