Job summary

Stäubli Corporation in Windsor, CA is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Engineer to drive quality improvements across manufacturing processes. You will lead root-cause analyses, create 8D problem reports, develop control plans, and support PPAP submissions while ensuring AS9100 compliance.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Operations to transfer new products to production, analyze measurement data, perform process capability studies, and mentor QA staff. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and manufacturing quality tools.
• Experience with AIAG concepts; quality certifications such as Six Sigma or ASQ are a plus.
• 3+ years related experience; 2+ years GD&T and metrology experience.
• SPC, FMEA, RCA knowledge; AS9100/FAI familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for process concerns and customer complaints.
• Create 8D reports with objective evidence and implement preventative actions.
• Design and document methods for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection.
• Interface with Engineering and Operations to transfer new products to production with validated data.
• Develop and maintain quality records and documentation per quality processes and customer requirements.
• Develop inspection plans for engineering change orders.
• Provide technical support related to GD&T, drawings, inspection planning, and dimensional issues.
• Lead PPAP submissions; ensure compliance with AIAG standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct internal and external audits; maintain AS9100 and FAI requirements.
• Support QA staff to ensure compliance and continual improvement, including 5S/Kaizen.
