Job summary

Gentex Corporation seeks a technical quality engineer to support the Customer Quality Engineering team at the point of manufacturing, handling containment, analysis and corrective actions for zero-mile and warranty returns.

You will lead cross-functional teams through problem solving, communicate customer expectations to manufacturing, prioritize issues, provide customer voice to production, and drive improvements early in the value stream.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• Strong understanding of Gentex manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with problem solving tools, CT+, and BI.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Investigate all manufacturing related customer returns using formal problem-solving tools and document in CT+.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the problem-solving process as needed.
• Clarify customer expectations and communicate to the appropriate manufacturing team.
• Prioritize quality issues and projects to be executed by the manufacturing team.
• Provide pulse of customers to the manufacturing team using various communication channels.
• Identify and coordinate continuous improvement activities within the assigned manufacturing area.
• Assess risk and validate process changes within the manufacturing process.
• Drive product/process improvements early in the manufacturing process to maximize company benefit.
• Communicate continuous improvement opportunities to product development teams for new launches.
• Other duties as assigned.
