Responsibilities
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to define, control, and document in-process and final product characteristics that ensure customer requirements are met.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards for processes, materials, and products in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Create inspection, testing, and sampling plans, including procedures, forms, and instructions for collecting and analyzing quality data.
- Lead product disposition activities, including nonconforming material review, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Train and mentor employees on quality systems, inspection methods, and compliance requirements.
- Support and participate in audits, including NADCAP, CASE, FAA, customer, supplier, and internal audits, and help lead timely and effective responses.
- Manage customer deviation requests (RMRAs, concessions, etc.) and ensure proper documentation and tracking.
- Facilitate internal, external, and supplier corrective actions, ensuring root causes are identified and eliminated.
- Ensure inspection equipment integrity, including calibration procedures, proper use, and care of measurement systems.
- Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to validate inspection accuracy and precision, making data-driven decisions and verifying effectiveness.
- Manage APQP and PPAP requirements for assigned products and customers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, providing guidance on quality issues and participating in engineering, production, and management meetings as needed.
- Support advanced metrology efforts, including CMM, complex gaging, and inspection method development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
