Qualifications

Manufacturing Quality Assurance Technician 1st Shift
  • Full-time

  • Shift: 1st Shift

Job Details

Day Shift: Mon-Thursday 6a - 4:30p

Pay starting at $19 per hour

The Harvey Quality Assurance Technician III role is responsible for daily checks on key equipment and processes to ensure adherence to documented guidelines. Timely response to problems on the manufacturing floor, follow-up root cause analysis, and corrective actions are critical for positive performance. These problems can include process issues with equipment or nonconforming material from vendors, with detailed and accurate communication of findings to involved parties.

  • Inspect manufactured material to ensure compliance with company quality standards
  • Train manufacturing personnel to uphold quality standards
  • Work in teams to define and implement process controls and error-proofing solutions to ensure product conformance
  • Investigate nonconforming materials and root causes, and present findings to vendors and production lines in a well-documented format
  • Spend 80%+ of time working independently in a manufacturing assembly setting
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Overtime may be required with notice, typically Monday-Friday

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
  • Ability to visually inspect parts and distinguish conforming from nonconforming parts per guidelines
  • Decision-making skills supported by proper documentation
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with team members, departments, and vendors
  • Ability to multi-task and manage stressful situations
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Perform mathematical calculations as necessary
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Window Quality specifications
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Home Construction

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2–5 years of Quality/MFG experience in a non-electronics/non-food setting
  • Experience with measuring equipment (Tape Measure and Calipers required)
  • Basic knowledge of inspection equipment and reading technical drawings
  • Basic understanding of quality systems and tolerances (+/-, pass/fail defects)
  • Strong aptitude for process improvement and problem solving
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level
