Intel Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Quality and Reliability Engineer to ensure flawless production and reliability of Intel products. You will qualify manufacturing ramps to high volume and drive continuous improvement across processes, with a focus on cost and scalability.

You will lead audits, manage excursions and supplier performance, and work with product engineering to improve system, process, and product reliability in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field with relevant experience.
• 6+ years in quality and reliability engineering or related manufacturing roles.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools and DOE/ regression modeling.
• Familiarity with supplier audits and excursion management.
• Ability to analyze data and drive continuous improvement.

Through your expertise, you will drive continuous process improvement, proactively address quality challenges, and optimize cost and production scalability, contributing to Intel's commitment to delivering groundbreaking innovation.

This team focuses on developing and implementing robust quality systems, supporting Intel's broader mission to deliver world-class technological solutions to customers. By fostering a culture of proactive improvement, the group plays a critical role in advancing Intel's manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the qualification of manufacturing ramps to high volume, ensuring products and processes meet quality and reliability standards.
• Develop inspection and testing mechanisms and conduct audits to assess compliance with established quality benchmarks.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality systems and foster a culture of proactive quality management.
• Manage excursion events, change control processes, and supplier audits while driving supplier performance improvements.
• Represent the quality and reliability function in product engineering and development forums, offering recommendations to enhance system, process, and product reliability.
• Develop systems for early detection and containment of excursions and conduct risk assessments to mitigate quality concerns.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data using statistical methods and machine learning to evaluate product and system performance.
• Respond to customer-reported manufacturing issues, delivering engineering solutions to improve customer experience and product reliability.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field, and a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in quality and reliability engineering, manufacturing, or related domains; OR Master's degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, DOE, regression modeling).
• 1+ years of experience with quality systems, supplier audit processes, and excursion management in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with techniques for data analysis and decision-making.
• Knowledge of materials, processes, and techniques used in high-volume manufacturing.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize insights from complex datasets.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across cross-functional teams and represent quality-driven recommendations.
• Experience in driving process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leadership experience amidst complex material review board (MRB) environments.
• Passion for fostering a quality mindset and culture in manufacturing settings.
