Qualifications

• 2-5 years in manufacturing, preferably automotive.
• Experience with AIAG Core Tools and metrology.

Responsibilities

• Quality management: Ensure IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP compliance.
• Dimensional engineering: Perform GD&T analysis and use PolyWorks for 3D measurement and part validation.
• Problem solving: Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
• Technical Support: Metrology, SPC, and MSA (Gage R&R) studies.
• Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean and Six Sigma to reduce scrap, rework, and process variation.
• Collaboration: Work with manufacturing, tooling, and customers to manage change and resolve nonconformities.
• Mentorship: Coach less experienced team members in quality practices.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in GD&T, AIAG Core Tools, and metrology software.

Location: Columbus, Indiana 47201

Job Type: Full-Time | Exempt

Pay Rate: $50.48/hour

Schedule: 100% On-Site

We're seeking a Manufacturing Quality and Control Engineer to champion quality excellence at our Columbus, IN (47201) facility. Key Responsibilities

• Quality Management: Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, APQP, and PPAP requirements.

• Technical Support: Serve as a resource for metrology, SPC, and MSA (Gage R&R) studies.

• Collaboration: Work with manufacturing, tooling, and customers to manage change and resolve nonconformities.
• Mentorship: Coach less experienced team members in quality practices and core tools.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in GD&T, AIAG Core Tools, and metrology software.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CMM programming or 3D scanning.
• Knowledge of 6S, welding processes, or Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Proficiency in Minitab or advanced Excel for statistical analysis.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related technical field).

Experience: 2-5 years in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.

Communication: Ability to convey technical data clearly to stakeholders and customers.
