Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Purchasing Planner in Fort Lauderdale, FL to support production through material planning and inventory management. You will ensure components, raw materials, and supplies are available to meet schedules while maintaining efficient inventory levels, working closely with purchasing, operations and supplier partners.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in material planning within manufacturing, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Strong ERP/MRP understanding and Excel proficiency.
• Experience with regulated manufacturing industries preferred.

Responsibilities

Description

Responsibilities:

• Review demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory requirements to develop material plans.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels while reducing shortages and excess stock.
• Partner with purchasing teams to generate purchase requisitions and support timely order placement.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and lead times, expediting critical materials when necessary.
• Maintain accurate planning parameters and data within ERP/MRP systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient material flow throughout production.
• Identify supply chain risks and support corrective actions to minimise disruptions.
• Prepare and analyse reports covering inventory status, shortages, and planning performance metrics.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of ERP and MRP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience supporting regulated manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
