Job summary

Horsburgh & Scott in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Project Manager for Manufacturing Operations to drive cross-functional project execution from initiation to shipment. You will work with Manufacturing, Master Scheduling, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, and other departments to meet budgets and delivery commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations Management preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3-5 years of project management, production coordination, manufacturing operations, or related experience preferred.
• Experience in custom manufacturing, industrial equipment, machining, or engineered-to-order environments is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of production scheduling, manufacturing processes, material flow, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and customer deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from order acceptance through final shipment; review orders, specs, scope, and delivery commitments.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, resources, and critical deadlines.
• Coordinate kickoff meetings, actions, and maintain project documentation.
• Ensure alignment of shop activities with customer commitments and schedules.
• Identify capacity constraints and coordinate recovery plans to keep milestones.
• Monitor budgets, labor hours, manufacturing costs, and project profitability.
• Coordinate inspection, documentation, and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Provide timely project updates to customers and communicate risks proactively.
• Use ERP systems to monitor status, costs, material availability, and progress.
