Job summary

Rise Technical is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager (Aerospace) in Indianapolis, IN. The role will own first-run aerospace hardware projects from quote through delivery, coordinating across engineering, the shop floor, purchasing and vendors to ensure on-time, high-quality results.

The position is permanent and includes PMP training, technical development, and mentoring within a facility known for solving complex, precision aerospace challenges for large OEMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to read drawings and communicate across technical and customer teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-time / first-run aerospace manufacturing projects from quote through delivery.
• Coordinate engineering, shop floor, purchasing/vendors and customer communication.
• Translate drawings into manufacturable plans and detailed work instructions.
• Track materials, tooling and schedules, escalating risks and solving problems.
• Mon-Fri 1st shift, with flexible start times available.

Are you a Mechanical Engineer from an aerospace manufacturing background looking for a highly technical role where you'll own complex, first-run hardware projects from quote through delivery?

On offer is a permanent position with a well-established aerospace and defense manufacturer, where you'll be supported with development opportunities including PMP training and mentoring, while taking ownership of high-stakes projects from day one.

This company is known for solving difficult, precision manufacturing challenges for large OEM customers, with a modern shop floor and a strong reputation for quality. Due to continued growth, a major increase in manufacturing backlog, and an ongoing facility expansion, they are now looking to add to their specialist team.

In this role you will manage a portfolio of projects, coordinating across engineering, the shop floor, purchasing and vendors. You'll translate specs and drawings into manufacturable plans, order materials/tooling, track progress through ERP, and provide proactive customer updates while escalating and solving issues before they impact delivery.

This role would suit a Mechanical Engineer or Manufacturing Project Manager who wants more technical ownership, structured development, and the chance to deliver one-off aerospace builds to exacting standards.
