Job summary

Frymaster, a Welbilt brand, seeks a Manufacturing Project Manager to lead complex projects at the Shreveport, LA facility. You will drive efficiency, capacity expansion, and process improvements across Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance while partnering with external contractors as needed.

You will manage charters, budgets, and milestones from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with safety, regulatory, and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Experience leading complex manufacturing projects in high-volume environments preferred.
• PMP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex manufacturing projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop project charters, scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Coordinate activities across multiple departments to ensure successful execution.
• Facilitate regular project reviews and provide status updates to leadership.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans; deliver ROI analyses for capital projects.
• Drive continuous improvement and capacity expansion initiatives across the facility.

Due to payroll, tax, and employment law requirements, applicants must be located in one of these states at the time of hire.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProject LeadershipLead and manage complex manufacturing projects from initiation through completion.Develop project charters, scope definitions, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.Coordinate project activities across multiple departments to ensure successful execution.Facilitate regular project reviews and provide status updates to leadership.Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success.Prepare business cases, cost-benefit analyses, ROI to support capital expenditure projects.Process ImprovementLead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve flow, reduce waste, and increase throughput.Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to drive measurable results.Establish performance metrics and track project outcomes against defined objectives.Capacity Expansion & Facility ProjectsLead projects supporting production capacity increases, facility expansions, equipment installations, and manufacturing layout changes.Evaluate production process constraints and develop solutions to support future growth requirements.Coordinate equipment procurement, installation, startup, and validation activities.Support strategic footprint and manufacturing growth initiatives.Resource ManagementCoordinate internal and external resources necessary for project execution.Balance project priorities with operational requirements.Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure project alignment and accountability.Manage contractor and vendor activities as required.Compliance & SafetyEnsure all projects comply with company safety standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental guidelines.Promote safe work practices throughout project execution.Support risk assessments and implementation planning for new processes and equipment.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management or related field required.5-7 Years experience working within a high-volume, high SKU complexity manufacturing environment. Preferably experience within automotive or industrial equipment manufacturing.Project Management experience.Experience leading capacity expansions, equipment installations, or major project improvements.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.Skills & Abilities:Strong project management and organizational skills.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and operations management.Working Conditions:Primarily office‑basedTravel required: 5%Wearing proper PPE is required.Our Benefits:We believe that our people our one of our most valuable assets.
