Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Project Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes. You will lead continuous improvement and capital projects, coordinate cross functional teams, and deliver status updates to leadership as part of an annual cost savings agenda.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, a Lean certification, and strong reporting and MS Office skills. Onsite in Tulsa with competitive compensation and benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification or other Lean certifications.
• 3 years project management training or experience managing capital or continuous improvement projects.
• Manufacturing experience with metal or high-volume products.
• Excellent communications skills and ability to work in cross functional teams.
• Ability to provide formal reports, calculate ROI, implement metrics, and audit procedures.
• Ability to utilize MS Office software at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Manage continual improvement projects in manufacturing and office environments.
• Manage capital projects for new manufacturing equipment.
• Facilitate and participate in cross functional teams.
• Maintain and fill project hopper and prioritize projects with Operational Excellence Manager.
• Deliver project updates to project owners and Management per plan.
• Coordinate all projects within Operational Excellence to achieve annual cost savings goals.
