Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer for its East Peoria, IL operations. You will drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and cost while managing capital projects and new product introductions on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial concentration) or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and processes.
• Experience with capital projects and process improvements in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on major manufacturing projects to improve safety, quality, velocity and cost.
• Lead capacity and process improvement initiatives from concept through production.
• Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal partners to maximize results.
