MYTEX Polymers US Corp in Covington, GA seeks a Project Management focused engineer to lead capital projects from concept through startup. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk, while developing integrated project plans and ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing project management, PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification desired, and strong capability in cross-functional leadership, budgeting, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering and project management experience in manufacturing or plant environment.
• Preferred: experience managing CAPEX projects from justification to startup.
• Lean/Six Sigma methods experience with measurable results.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and design experience.
• PM certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred; Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Proficiency with scheduling tools (MS Project) and familiarity with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital, engineering, and process improvement projects from initiation through closeout, owning scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, Gantt schedules, milestones, and critical-path tracking across multiple projects.
• Review and validate engineering designs to ensure alignment with specifications and regulations (NFPA, NEC, OSHA).
• Establish project governance including charters, RACI, stage-gate reviews, and status reporting.
• Coordinate resources across engineering, maintenance, production, quality, procurement, EHS, and contractors.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting; control change orders and scope creep.
• Escalate issues early with options and recommendations, drive on-time delivery and handover to operations.
• Own CAPEX business cases including ROI, payback, NPV, and TCO; manage procurement and supplier selection.
