Job summary

SOPREMA is seeking a Project Engineer to manage capital projects across U.S. manufacturing sites. You will lead from concept through startup, with mechanical design and CAD support, plus cross-functional collaboration with operations, maintenance, and quality teams.

Strong project management, ROI analysis, and automation knowledge are required. This full-time role involves travel and site deployments at multiple SOPREMA facilities, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of three years designing and developing manufacturing equipment, systems and processes.
• Experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, and startup preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects from conception through startup and start-up validation.
• Develop concepts, scopes, schedules, budgets and ROI analyses.
• Provide engineering design, drawings, layouts, and 3D models.
• Support operations, maintenance, facilities and quality with technical expertise.
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors and internal resources for project execution.
• Ensure safety, quality and compliance in all phases of projects.
