Job summary

Joulé in Mahwah, NJ, is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer for a contract role. The position blends office and factory-floor work, supporting capital projects from planning through documentation and verification.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers, coordinating activities, attending meetings, and helping install equipment, validate FAT/SAT, and ensure project tasks are completed on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience; internships/co-ops acceptable.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to project environments.

Job Title:Manufacturing Project Engineer

Compensation:$35- $40.43
Work Model:Hybrid
Hours:8 AM - 5 PM, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

• Support Project Managers in the execution of capital projects by coordinating project activities, tracking action items, and communicating with cross-functional teams.
• Attend project meetings, assist with equipment installations, FAT/SAT and validation activities, work with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues, and maintain project documentation.
• The role will involve spending time both in the office and on the manufacturing floor while learning the project lifecycle and progressively taking ownership of project tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience (internships and co-op experience considered).
• Strong Communication & Organizational Skills
• Strong Technical Aptitude & Willingness to Learn

Preferred Skills:

• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certifications are a plus but not required.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools.
