Job summary

System One is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Project Manager for an onsite contract assignment in Chandler, AZ. You will manage multiple engineering projects, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to meet milestones across sites, including coordination with the Mexico site in Tijuana.

The role requires a BS degree with 5+ years of project management in manufacturing, strong teamwork, and excellent communication of risks. Proficiency with Microsoft Project is preferred.

Type: Contract
Compensation: $68/hr
Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
• Prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met
• Evaluate and escal​ate changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project.
• Lead engineering projects across multiple sites.
• Monitor progress and performance against the project plan
• Identify and resolve operational problems to minimize delays
• Work collaboratively with counterpart project manager at site in Tijuana, Mexico
• Manage ongoing relationship and effective communication with key project stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with 5 or more years’ experience managing engineering projects in a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of working in a team-based environment.
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills : able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Effectively communicate project risks and manage expectations across different functional groups
• Innovative thinker: should be able to envision new and better ways of doing things.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Project (be able to build a schedule and manage critical path)

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification
• Engineering background or degree
• Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry
