Job summary

Summit Truck Bodies LLC in Wathena, KS is seeking a Manufacturing Programmer to operate and monitor robotic press brakes and to import Bills of Materials into our automated systems.

You will make programming adjustments in taught software, verify manufacturability, and troubleshoot minor issues while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with good standing MVR.
• Prior experience in manufacturing machine operation or metal fabrication is a plus.
• Ability to utilize a computer with basic software skills.
• Knowledge in Google Sheets or Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Import Bill of Materials into automated software.
• Make programming adjustments in taught computer manufacturing software.
• Verify parts are manufacturable and being made correctly.
• Troubleshoot minor positioning errors or software glitches.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area, maintains and wears all required personal protective safety equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Import Bill of Materials into automated software.
• Make programming adjustments in taught computer manufacturing software.
• Verify parts are manufacturable and being made correctly.
• Troubleshoot minor positioning errors or software glitches.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area, maintains and wears all required personal protective safety equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

• Frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged/extended periods.
• Requires lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Requires stretching to reach items up to 50 pounds.

• Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.
