Waltonen Engineering, Inc. in Warren, Michigan, is seeking a Program Manager to lead manufacturing programs with a focus on cost, schedule and performance.

You will guide strategic planning, analyze activities and expenses, and set objectives for a team of engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate brings hands-on project management experience in automotive or aerospace fixtures, strong budgeting and negotiation skills, and readiness to travel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of project and program management methodology and techniques.
• 2+ years of experience with automotive and/or aerospace fixtures.
• Knowledge of machining, tool build, welding and CMM processes regarding timing, milestones, and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Understanding of the wider objectives of the program.
• The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads.
• Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management.
• Requires strong leadership and people skills. As well as a strong management discipline and communication skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Experience leading/following manufacturing projects.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Estimating experience preferred.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Project
