Job summary

Waltonen Engineering, Inc. in Warren, Michigan is seeking a Design Leader to oversee design teams and drive CAD-based projects in a manufacturing setting. You will supervise Designers, Detailers and Checkers and maintain direct customer communication to present technical information.

The role requires CAD expertise, strong deadlines management, and excellent cross-functional communication. A hybrid work arrangement may be available after the initial period for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading a design team in a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive, defense or aerospace industry experience is a plus.
• Familiarity as a Designer utilizing CAD software is required.
• Ability to work with and meet deadlines is essential for success in this position.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, peers and subordinates is critical.
• An innate ability to multi-task and prioritize is essential.
