Job summary

Talently in Mesquite, Texas, is seeking a Manufacturing Production Manager to lead fabrication, welding, and assembly operations on site. You will guide frontline leaders, optimize production performance, and ensure safe, on‑time delivery of products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily manufacturing activities across fabrication, welding, and assembly operations.
• Lead 2 Production Supervisors, 4 Leads, and up to 60 production employees.
• Establish production goals and ensure products are completed on time and according to production schedules.
• Monitor KPIs and manufacturing metrics, including productivity, efficiency, quality, downtime, labor utilization, and throughput.
• Adjust staffing, labor allocation, and production levels across work cells and production lines based on operational requirements.
• Oversee production flow, quality, staffing, and safety across welding, fabrication, and assembly operations.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, equipment issues, recurring production problems, and obstacles affecting throughput.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, improve quality, reduce waste, control inventory, and minimize downtime.
• Hire, train, coach, develop, cross-train, and supervise production employees while strengthening frontline leadership capabilities.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, procurement, suppliers, and other departments to meet production requirements and customer commitments.
• Promote compliance with workplace safety programs, procedures, OSHA requirements, and applicable regulations.

Must-Have Skills:

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
• Minimum 5 years of production, manufacturing, production control, or related experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory or management responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience leading production employees and frontline manufacturing teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production flow, staffing, scheduling, quality, and safety.
• Experience managing production performance through KPIs and metrics such as throughput, efficiency, downtime, scrap, labor productivity, and on‑time production.
• Proven ability to implement process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong people‑management skills, including coaching, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Ability to identify root causes, troubleshoot production problems, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Experience working with production equipment and coordinating the resolution of machinery issues.
• Strong decision‑making, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work additional hours, including Fridays, when required to meet production demands.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in metal fabrication, welding operations, assembly, or production‑line manufacturing.
• Experience managing multiple manufacturing work cells or production lines in a high‑volume environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, OEE, and other continuous improvement practices.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, robotic welding, weld cells, or welding/fabrication operations.
• Experience with workforce planning, labor allocation, staffing, hiring, and cross‑training.
• Knowledge of ERP, MRP, inventory control, production planning, scheduling, and production control systems.
• Experience improving quality, reducing scrap, lowering downtime, and increasing cycle‑time performance.
• Background in preventive maintenance coordination, equipment troubleshooting, or maintenance planning.
• College degree in manufacturing, operations, business, engineering, or a related field.
