Manufacturing Production Line Attendant - 2nd Shift

Job Overview

As a member of the Converting Team, the Line Attendant works throughout the converting facilities with other Line Attendants on various production lines, including Grated, Shred, Deli, Wedge, Wax, and Box, as well as Clean and Sort lines. Responsibilities include removing materials from cartons, loading the processing line, performing equipment changeovers, completing quality checks, packaging, and palletizing finished products. This is a 2nd shift position, working Monday - Friday, from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cross-training on multiple production lines.
  • Removing raw materials from pallets, bags, boxes, or totes.
  • Feeding raw materials in correct quantities as per formulas and specifications.
  • Performing housekeeping duties in the department.
  • Inspecting cheese and materials for mold, dirt, or foreign substances.
  • Cleaning cheese with a knife or segregating for inspection.
  • Refilling dispensers with cellulose, salt, and other ingredients.
  • Performing changeovers, cleaning, and assembly of equipment.
  • Conducting quality checks during production.
  • Documenting quality data accurately.
  • Setting up and sanitizing equipment.
  • Operating packaging and processing equipment, including pallet jacks and lot daters.
  • Removing finished pallets from the packaging area.
  • Maintaining 5S standards on the production lines.
  • Tracking material movement and controlling product flow using touch panel screens and data collection devices.
  • Inspecting packaging for defects.
  • Adhering to safety, HACCP, and GMP policies.
  • Reporting safety or quality issues to management.
  • Supporting training of team members.
  • Demonstrating safe working habits.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred. Food manufacturing or converting facility experience is desirable. Basic math skills, effective communication, attention to detail, adaptability, teamwork, and a customer-oriented attitude are essential. Certification to operate manual and powered pallet jacks is required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role involves lifting 20-50 pounds, working in refrigerated conditions (35-50°F), and exposure to loud noises, chemicals, and humid environments. PPE such as safety goggles, gloves, and hearing protection is required.

Tools & Equipment

Motorized pallet trucks, hand tools, data collection devices, and safety equipment are used regularly.
