Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Product Builder I for a 12-month project in Roswell, GA. The role requires assembling components, operating equipment, inspecting in-process devices and maintaining product quality. You will follow procedures, document materials, and participate in process improvements.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety, and the ability to work flexible hours with attention to detail. Prior manufacturing or medical device experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 years’ experience in manufacturing and/or quality (production, packaging, labeling incoming and shipping, critical systems, etc.) preferred.
  • Demonstrates and has mastered all skills associated with Product Builder 1 role for 1+ years or has prior medical device related experience.
  • Demonstrates ability to be cross-trained and demonstrates good knowledge of component identification and documentation requirements.
  • Must have good working knowledge of MP's and WIs in their training plans.

  • Build Quality into all aspects of work by complying with quality requirements.
  • Follow company policy and procedures.
  • Perform multiple complex operations on a functional area (assembly, inspection, documentation).
  • Demonstrate initiative and training on production tasks.
  • Maintain updated training records and understand measuring instruments.
  • Use computers for confirmations, material issuance, and label printing.
  • Understand Core 5 Metrics in daily tasks.
  • Participate in projects to improve processes and efficiency.

Position: Product Builder I

Location: 1100 Old Ellis Road - Ste 1200, Roswell, GA, 30076

Project Duration: 12 months

Under supervisory direction, functions as a member of a production team whose goal is to assemble required components, operate equipment, inspect in-process devices and maintain the quality and integrity of the products at all times.

  • Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
  • Follow and adhere to company policy and procedures.
  • Perform multiple operations of a more complex nature on a functional area, such as assembly, inspection of in-process units and assemblies; material documentation, handling, and control.
  • Demonstrate initiative.
  • Becomes trained on production tasks and maintains updated individual training records.
  • Demonstrate and applies a solid understanding of how to use measuring instruments.
  • Ability to use computers at a proficient level as needed, i.e., confirmations, issue materials, print labels.
  • Understand and apply Core 5 Metrics in relation to daily task.
  • Participates in program or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.

Top Must-Haves:

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to get along with people and to be able to work in a team environment.
  • Participate in program or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities. Overtime is required in this position.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and walk. Requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to use microscope and other hand-held tools as required. Requires use of fingers or hands to manipulate/assemble moderately to small size tools or objects.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles or toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be required to use protective clothing and safety equipment such as safety glasses and respirators, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The employee may be required to use a microscope during an entire shift.
