Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and standard purchasing workflow tools.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication during vendor negotiations.
• Willingness to undergo training and adapt to expanding operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all procurement activities for assigned commodities from intent to purchase through delivery.
• Analyze commodity requirements, preliminary specifications, preferred suppliers, and delivery schedules.
• Solicit and evaluate competitive vendor proposals for requested materials.
• Research and interview prospective suppliers to verify operational capabilities and compliance.
• Negotiate optimal costs while balancing quality standards and project schedules.
• Monitor order statuses, shipping notices, and delivery timelines to ensure on-time arrival.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, amendments, and vendor documentation.
• Address supplier performance issues regarding late deliveries and quality non-conformance.
