Job summary

HM Electronics in Carlsbad, CA is hiring a Manufacturing Process Technician I for 2nd shift (2:30 - 11:00pm). The role supports Process and Manufacturing Engineering to improve flow, quality and efficiency using Lean methods. You will train operators and help implement new methods, procedures, and fixtures for production.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing, good problem-solving skills, and strong communication. On-site work with competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electromechanical assembly and related processes.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and procedures in area.
• Ability to follow quality processes and maintain standards.
• Ability to clearly communicate correct processes to others.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience of 2+ years in manufacturing or related role.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve manufacturing operations with Process and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Troubleshoot processes, materials, or equipment to minimize downtime.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Develop and update SOPs and work instructions.
• Train operators on equipment, processes, and best practices.
• Collaborate with teams for pilots, prototypes and DFMs.
