Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering support role in Torrington, CT. The incumbent reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will help the department with analysis, data preparation, and process improvement on the shop floor.

The position requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to manage change. Weekend or extra hours may be needed to ensure tasks are completed promptly.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in technical field or high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) and metrology/inspection methods.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Analyze inspection methods/plans to create consistent results between manufacturing floor and inspection.
• Coordinate evaluation and disposition of non-conforming product.
• Develop rework instructions with team support.
• Identify root causes and corrective actions for non-conforming product.
• Enter data into MRP system and prepare data for analysis (PivotTables/Charts).
• Lead continuous improvement projects as assigned.
