Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for 1st shift in Davenport, IA. The role focuses on supporting manufacturing engineers and deploying continuous improvement initiatives in the plant.

You will lead standard work deployment, participate in Kaizen events, and support Lean initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma and manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation benefits; within 50-mile radius of Davenport, IA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy standard work packages and conduct time studies.
• Create and maintain process documentation (MMs and VOPs).
• Support the DeepHow video documentation initiative.
• Assist tooling improvements and safety/action items.
• Create standard tool lists for work centers.
• Lead 5S+ audits and kaizen events.
• Participate in Tier 2 problem solving and root-cause analysis.
