Job summary
Marvin seeks a Process Engineer Intern for the Roanoke, VA manufacturing facility. You will support daily operations, assist with process improvements, and help document SOPs while learning lean manufacturing, 5S, and project management.
You will collect data, generate reports, and assist with ROI calculations for engineering projects. CAD and MS Office skills are valued, with strong teamwork and communication required.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Strong interest in manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers in supporting daily manufacturing operations.
- Observe manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with documenting manufacturing processes and SOPs.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
- Support root-cause analysis activities (A3).
- Gather production and quality data and create reports for decision-making.
