Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation seeks a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to review overall equipment effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities in manufacturing processes, safety, and quality. You will develop metrics, plan projects, and work with front-line staff on various initiatives.

Responsibilities include lean-based production improvements, process design, data analysis, and coordinating projects to completion while ensuring quality and efficiency goals are met.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis.
• Knowledge of MS Power Platform (PowerBI/PowerApps/PowerAutomate) preferred.
• Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in continuous improvement of production, quality, inventory, and cost using lean principles.
• Support development of innovative processes and design approaches for existing and new processes.
• Identify and solve problems related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Analyze and report quantitative data.
• Coordinate and complete assigned projects on time and within scope.
• Track and coordinate ongoing process improvement initiatives.
