Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in Bala Cynwyd, PA, seeks a senior Production/Process Engineer with a strong CNC machining background to design and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows.

You will document processes, lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with operations to meet quality, delivery, and cost KPIs. A BS in Engineering and a strong 10-year track record are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
• Ten years of experience in Production/Process Engineering with heavy CNC machining emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing processes to optimize productivity and workflow.
• Provide process documentation and detailed operating instructions.
• Oversee implementation of new processes and procedures.
• Examine existing processes and suggest improvements in methods and tooling.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues with processes, procedures, and operations.
• Monitor KPIs (Quality, Delivery, Cost) and investigate underperforming processes.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for quotes.
• Perform risk assessments and participate in pFMEAs and 8Ds.
• Lead Lean deployment, 6S, and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Support team to achieve business goals.
• Ensure all manufacturing process documentation is published for the shop.
• Support emerging requests from Operations.
• Manage projects including MS Project scheduling with program manager; capital equipment or new product development.
