Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a Process Improvement Manufacturing Engineer on a full-time, onsite basis (9/80 schedule) to drive enterprise-level QCD improvements across all local facilities.

You will apply DMAIC, lean principles and data-driven problem solving to reduce variation, waste and cost, while collaborating with operations, quality, design engineering and leadership to standardize best practices.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years in a manufacturing environment with AS/Engineering Tech or
• BS/Engineering with 1+ years in manufacturing or MS/Engineering or JR/PhD
• U.S. Citizen is required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Lead data-driven improvement initiatives using DMAIC, lean, and structured problem solving.
• Analyze performance data to identify drivers of variation, waste and inefficiency across Indianapolis facilities.
• Facilitate cross-functional root cause analysis, kaizen events, and continuous improvement workshops.
• Conduct time studies, workflow assessments, and labor efficiency analyses.
• Develop and deploy standard work, process controls, and waste reduction strategies for enterprise reuse.
• Partner with ME teams and plant leadership to align improvement priorities and replicate best practices across sites.
• Ensure alignment of manufacture methods with design intent through collaboration with design engineering.
