Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Manufacturing Engineer External Supply Chain to act as technical authority across supplier management and product lifecycle. You will evaluate manufacturing methods, ensure design intent, and drive quality, cost, delivery, and lead time improvements.

Responsibilities include aligning manufacturing methods with design, applying FAIR processes, and approving airworthiness data.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience or
• Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience or
• Master’s/PhD considered, with 5+ years experience in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Ensure product integrity by aligning manufacturing methods with design intent.
• Utilize technical packages to establish best practices and influence sourcing decisions.
• Develop manufacturing methods for new components meeting quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Validate methods and manage change control through the FAIR process and Method Verification.
• Approve component airworthiness through data, specifications, and Rolls-Royce procedures.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
