Welbilt's Multiplex facility in New Albany, IN seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to own key manufacturing initiatives, drive improvements, and support NPI and production readiness. You will collaborate with R&D, Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to optimize processes and equipment across sites in Mexico and Tennessee, influencing overall manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) or six years of relevant experience.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Proficient in Autodesk 2015 (2D and 3D).
• Lean/Six Sigma certification or exposure.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Lead manufacturing readiness activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and facilitate transitions into production.
• Analyze manufacturing data, workflows, and assembly methods to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
• Ensure product structures, BOMs, and manufacturing docs remain accurate and effective.
• Monitor assembly metrics and identify opportunities to improve labor efficiency and product flow.
