Job summary

Talent With Heart in Decorah, Iowa seeks a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to develop, maintain, and improve production processes across operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain. You will drive stability, continuous improvement, and capital project support to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing.

You will analyze data, document standard work, lead root-cause analyses, and implement actions to reduce waste, improve throughput, and support new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical) required.
• 4–7 years of hands-on manufacturing or process engineering experience in a production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to independently analyze, improve, and sustain manufacturing processes.
• Experience in lean manufacturing and with capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of process capability, cycle time analysis, scrap reduction, and efficiency metrics.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining work instructions, standard work, and process documentation.
• Experience supporting capital equipment installation, commissioning, and process validation activities.
• Hands-on mindset working with production teams and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process performance and respond to process issues in daily operations.
• Develop, document, and maintain work instructions, process flows, routings, and standard work.
• Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Implement changes to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Support new product introductions with process setup and trials.
• Lead kaizen events and sustain improvements with documentation and training.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate capital projects from equipment selection to startup and ROI analysis.
• Ensure alignment with quality, safety, and performance standards; support audits.
