Connectly Recruiting seeks a Manufacturing/Process Engineer in Decorah, IA to develop, maintain, and improve production processes, focusing on stability, continuous improvement, and capital project support. You’ll partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure safe, repeatable manufacturing.

The role emphasizes process validation, documentation, and training, while driving waste reduction and efficiency gains across the shop floor.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related field).
• 4–7 years of hands-on manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and capital projects.
• Strong ability to analyze, improve, and sustain manufacturing processes with data.
• Experience supporting capital equipment installation, commissioning, and process validation.
• Hands-on with production teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Mansioni

• Support daily manufacturing operations by monitoring process performance and addressing issues.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, process flows, routings, and standard work.
• Analyze production data (scrap, rework, cycle time, downtime) to identify opportunities.
• Implement changes to improve safety, quality, efficiency and throughput.
• Support new product or process introductions with setup, trials, and documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and related methodologies.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and reduce waste, scrap, and labor/material inefficiencies.
• Champion kaizen events and monitor improvement metrics.
