Job summary

Robinson, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer Manager in Altoona, IA to lead process improvement initiatives across production, planning, and engineering.

You will oversee BOMs, capacity strategies, and cross-functional collaboration with Estimating, Purchasing, and Operations to optimize efficiency and quality. The role requires strong leadership, lean/six sigma experience, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering (or related field) preferred.
• 5+ years of process engineering experience.
• 3+ years of effective leadership experience managing process engineers.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, PDM, and SolidWorks desired.
• Lean or Six Sigma training, experience, or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to produce quality parts meeting customer specifications and expectations.
• Provide ERP and BOM planning training; oversee equipment layout and workflow.
• Collaborate with manufacturing routings and material flow methods to optimize production.
• Develop long-term production planning strategies to support growth and capacity.
• Ensure engineering changes are properly managed and aligned with operations.
