Job summary

Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies in Roanoke, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to assist the manufacturing engineering team with process improvement, documentation, and quality control.

You will help develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and manufacturing processes, collect performance data, and participate in root cause analysis using methods like 5 Why and Fishbone to drive cost and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related technical field and a high school diploma or GED are required.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing, engineering, quality, or technical support environment; relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with production processes, inspection methods, and quality systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Manufacturing Engineers with production line improvements, workstation optimization, and process documentation.
• Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining work instructions, SOPs, and manufacturing process documentation.
• Collect, analyze, and report manufacturing and quality performance data.
• Perform product and process inspections to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Assist in root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis.
• Support corrective and preventive action activities and verify effectiveness of solutions.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.
• Assist with validation of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Coordinate calibration activities for inspection and measurement equipment as required.
• Support new product introduction activities through manufacturing readiness and quality verification.
• Perform process audits and ensure compliance with company procedures and quality management systems.
