Job summary

PPG’s Cleveland facility is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide engineering support for production processes, focusing on root cause analysis and preventative measures to improve quality and efficiency.

The role requires collaboration with technical, maintenance, planning, QA, RM procurement, and IT teams, reporting to the assistant operations manager, and driving Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical.
• Experience focusing on manufacturing processes.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage complexity.
• Experience initiating investigations and corrective actions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate abnormalities, identify root causes, and define preventative actions.
• Drive corrective actions and changes to completion.
• Engineer re-work streams for non-conforming products.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and reduce cycle times.
• Support standard work development and operator training.
• Provide day-to-day operations support.
