Job summary

Trace‑A‑Matic is seeking a seasoned manufacturing professional to orchestrate machining and assembly processes from drawings to inspection. You will define sequences, develop tooling strategies, and program CNC equipment to ensure first‑time quality and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities include creating routings, tooling plans, and process docs, while collaborating on corrective actions and continuous improvements. A BS in Engineering and 7+ years manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Background BS in Engineering required; equivalent experience considered
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Suite
  • Strong command of GD&T
  • Working knowledge of MRP, kitting, batch sizing, configuration control, and workflow routings

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements (drawings, specifications, purchase orders) and define machining and assembly sequences.
  • Produce shop routings, operation sheets, tooling strategies, and process documentation to ensure high‑quality output.
  • Match manufacturing methods to available machines for maximum efficiency and consistency.
  • Specify, design, and procure special tooling/fixtures and equipment aligned to budget and schedule.
  • Program CNC equipment for effective and efficient production.
  • Serve on Corrective Action and MRB Boards to drive systematic improvements.
  • Troubleshoot machining/tooling issues and implement durable fixes.
  • Create or update manufacturing drawings via CAD methodology.
  • Value‑engineer products and processes to shrink cost, lead time, and cycle time.
  • Comply with all company policies/procedures, as well as military and contractual requirements.
  • Other duties as needed.

Your impact

You will convert challenging requirements into dependable, scalable processes. From the first read of engineering drawings to the last inspection, you will orchestrate methods, tooling, and CNC programming so our teams deliver right‑the‑first‑time quality—on time.
