Job summary

Triumph Group is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer to develop robust processes for CNC and non-CNC machining centers, drive process improvements, and provide technical support on the shop floor.

You will create machining strategies, tooling, fixtures, and documentation, while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet customer expectations. The role emphasizes RCCA, GD&T, and manufacturability reviews.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-year associate degree in an engineering-related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data mining, formatting, and analysis.
  • Good writing ability and ability to read, interpret, and edit engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop machining strategies and routing information.
  • Create manufacturing documentation (process sketches, operation sheets, tool layouts).
  • Develop tooling, fixtures, and gauges as needed.
  • Create tooling drawings and CAD models.
  • Develop quotations for new products in development.
  • Create, update, and troubleshoot CNC programs for milling and turning equipment.
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes through experiments and data collection.
  • Design analytical and visual tools to aid production and planning processes.
  • Develop manufacturing planning in accordance with drawings and specs.
  • Train employees on processes for building and testing units.
  • Lead root-cause and corrective-action activities to support quality requirements.
  • Work with Team Leaders, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet customer expectations.
  • Initiate and implement process improvements using RCCA principles.
  • Understand manufacturing capacity and capability planning.
  • Provide technical support for safety and ergonomics issues.

Position

Triumph is actively recruiting an entry‑level Manufacturing Engineer to develop robust processes for CNC and non‑CNC machining centers, drive process improvements, ensure components are manufacturable, and provide technical expertise to the production shop floor.

Responsibilities
  • Develop machining strategies and complete routing information.
  • Create manufacturing documentation (process sketch, operation sheet, tool layout, etc.).
  • Develop and procure tooling, work‑holding fixtures, and gauges as needed.
  • Create tooling and fixture drawings and CAD models.
  • Develop quotations for new products in development.
  • Create, update, and troubleshoot CNC programs for milling and turning equipment.
  • Evaluate and develop manufacturing processes through experimental design, data collection, and collaboration with equipment vendors.
  • Design and develop analytical and visual tools to aid production and planning processes.
  • Develop manufacturing planning in accordance with appropriate drawings and specifications.
  • Train employees on processes for building and testing units.
  • Lead root‑cause and corrective‑action activities to support quality requirements.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet customer expectations.
  • Initiate, evaluate, and implement process improvements using RCCA principles.
  • Understand manufacturing capacity and capability planning.
  • Provide technical support for safety and ergonomics issues within the area.
  • Review and accept engineering drawings based on manufacturability.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2‑year associate degree in an engineering‑related field.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing or process planning experience.
  • CAD modeling and drafting experience using NX or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, understand, and edit CNC programs (G & M codes).
  • Capable of effectively reading blueprints, specifications, and repair/overhaul manuals.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data mining, formatting, and analysis.
  • Ability to create and manage manufacturing data, database reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and manufacturing requirements.
  • Gear manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards is a plus.
  • Good writing ability, strong computer knowledge, and self‑motivation with interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
