Raytheon in McKinney, TX, onsite, seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support RF radiator, circulator and lid production in a high-volume environment. Responsibilities

  • Support the RF Radiator, Circulator, and Lids factory in high-volume, high-mix production with on-site responsiveness to equipment, process, material, and product problems.
  • Support assembly processes involving various automated operations including adhesive dispense, adhesive screen print, component placement, automated curing in batch and inline ovens, and optical inspection.
  • Work hand-in-hand with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, and manufacturing engineers on product manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement materials, processes, process improvements, and production support using established statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root-cause analysis.
  • Spend 8+ hours per day in a clean room environment, following clean room and electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures.
  • This role is for a day shift (start time range: 6 AM - 8 AM) with potential for 9/80 schedule. Flexibility in starting times may be required based on production demand as this is a high volume 24/7 operation.

Our multi-disciplined Manufacturing Process Engineering team performs hands-on problem solving in a collaborative and fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are subject matter experts for processes in cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments which focus on radiofrequency (RF) microelectronic component assembly. This hands-on role confronts new projects and challenges every day and requires cross-functional collaboration in both cutting-edge automation and mature production processes. We develop and implement materials and process improvements to our factory, while providing production support using a variety of analytical techniques, including statistical process control, predictive equipment maintenance, material analysis, and root-cause analysis. We perform the evaluation of materials, equipment, and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) and interface with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience.
  • Experience navigating technical requirements within military standards and other engineering data packages (i.e. product drawings).
  • Experience in data analysis using statistical methods and software (i.e. Minitab) for process monitoring and control.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with automated machines used within RF microelectronics industry.
  • Experience identifying key process parameters and implementing process control.
  • Manufacturing experience with surface mount technology (SMT), microelectronics, and/or automated assembly equipment.
  • J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, AS9100and IPC standards familiarity.
  • Experience with problem solving using data-driven approaches.
  • Process development and qualification experience.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) experience.
  • Technical writing experience for operator instructions, process and/or material qualification reports, equipment vendor statement of works, etc.
