The Material Flow engineer leads the material flow analyses and definition of material flow and delivery processes for the program

Your role

  • Create and maintain Plan for Every Part (PFEP) for entire project considering packaging, unit load densities, supplier locations, station allocations, etc
  • Complete and Maintain Storage and Dock Analysis
  • Define additional storage/racking requirements or layout changes in storage areas if needed
  • Provide detailed static material flow analyses, incorporating facility constraints, aisle networks, material routings and replenishment methods
  • Lead formulation and implementation of material flow strategies to maximize labor efficiency
  • Ensure application of Best Practices to all material flow and delivery processes
  • Support Dynamic Simulation activities [coordinating with remote Capgemini team], considering all simultaneous activies in the plant (within and beyond this program)
  • Other activities as required throughout the program.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years in a related role at an Automotive OEM
  • Working knowledge of PFEP method
  • Knowledge of best practices for material flow
