AAR in Cadillac, MI is seeking an Engineer to support design, production, testing, calibration and efficiency improvements across multiple products. You will use 3D CAD software and create/interprete 2D drawings, while supporting production, purchasing, marketing and customers.

The role requires a BS degree (ABET-accredited) in engineering, 5+ years of experience, and knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma. Travel to supplier or customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BSME or Engineering Bachelor’s Degree from ABET accredited school; master’s degree optional
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools

Responsabilités

• As required by the business, works with various products, equipment and disciplines to increase production, quality, efficiency, volume and/or environmental suitability.
• Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software; experience in 3D CAD software; ability to create/interpreting 2D drawings.
• Gathers, coordinates and applies engineering data using established principles and procedures.
• Applies area of specialty to design, develop, implement and maintain innovative solutions to difficult problems.
• Reviews progress with management and recommends corrective action and alternatives.
• Limited interaction with customers under supervision.
• Create and maintain component drawings, BOMs and process routings for product designs.
• Provide engineering and technical support to production, purchasing, marketing, and customers.
