Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking an Engineer to support engineering activities associated with the manufacturing process in Madison, WI. You will define and control production processes, support new product introductions, and drive improvements across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Collaboration with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain is essential, utilizing data-driven problem solving and documentation management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience)
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment.
  • Support new product, tool, and equipment implementation from design through production.
  • Drive process improvements to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Work with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to meet business goals.
  • Use technical knowledge and data to solve production and process problems.
  • Lead or support projects that improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Follow established procedures while exercising sound judgment on day-to-day decisions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and operators.
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, quality records, FMEAs, and electronic manufacturing systems.
